For the Somerset Waste Partnership, Nabarro Nathanson is to advise on a joint procurement for five waste collection authorities and the county council. The procurement covers the provision of waste collection and recycling services across the county.
For North Tyneside metropolitan council, the law firm will advise on the development of its waste management strategy and options relating to its existing waste management contract.
The unitary borough Telford & Wrekin will use Nabarro Nathanson's advice in the procurement of a new 25-year contract for the management of residual waste.
Team
All three contracts will be operated by a team led by Nabarro Nathanson partner James Snape, with with support from fellow partner Elizabeth Cooper and with the further support of Kerin Kimber, Will Santer, Janet Lewis and James Hartley.
Mr Snape said: “We are delighted with all three of these appointments, which were won against stiff competition from other firms. These appointments reinforce our position as the pre-eminent advisers in the local authority waste management sector, and we will be looking to grow this area of our business still further in the coming months with new appointments for local authorities and waste companies.”
The contracts were won in the face of rival bids from companies including Eversheds, Pinsents and Trowers and Hamlins, the company said.
