The online platform offers a method for individuals and businesses to donate their used inked cartridges.
Donors can use prepaid postage labels to ship their cartridges, receive free collection boxes or even have cartridges picked up from their location.
Charities can also set up public collection points at their shops or centres.
For each cartridge donated, Recycle4Charity donates up to £2 to a charity or good cause chosen by the donor.
Alongside the money raised, the recycling company said that it has also saved 400,000 kg of waste from landfill sites and incineration.
Jose Silva, Recycle4Charity account manager, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the charities who have supported and promoted the programme. Their commitment to encouraging their communities to participate has been instrumental in reaching this milestone. We couldn’t have achieved this success without them.
“Reaching £2 million is a testament to the incredible generosity of their supporters and the growing awareness of the environmental and social impact of recycling.”
Joanna Godden, Sussex Cancer Fund, added: “Working with Recycle4Charity has been an incredibly easy and rewarding experience, providing us with a fantastic passive fundraising opportunity that fits seamlessly into our busy charity operations.”
Recycle4Charity has called on individuals to register to donate their used ink cartridges and contribute to a good cause, while charities can register to begin raising funds, on their website.
