Company directors of Nationwide Recycling Andrew Thomas, 45, of Bonymaen and Paul Thomas, 46, of Morriston are accused along with company officers Beverly Bradford, 48, and Terrance Ainge, 50 both of Bonymaen of conspiring to make a false representation that loads of glass packaging waste had been received by Nationwide Recycling for reprocessing, when it had not.
It is alleged against each of them that this happened between January 2009 and September 2010 with an intent to make a gain for themselves or another.
Ms Bradford, of Tydraw Road, and Mr Ainge, of Mansel Road, also both face four allegations of while being an officer permitting the deposition of waste without an environmental permit.
Directors Paul and Andrew Thomas are accused of jointly concealing criminal property cash of 295,255.90 being payment for metal from DBC Site Services 2005 and Sims Metal illegally and dishonestly obtained from Nationwide Recycling.
Paul Thomas, of Rhydypandy, faces a further four allegations of permitting the deposition of waste without an environmental permit.
Allegations
Andrew Thomas, of Cefn Road, Bonymaen, faces nine similar allegations.
No pleas have yet been entered as the conspiracy allegation can only be dealt with at the Crown Court.
Bradford and Ainge were granted unconditional bail, while Paul and Andrew Thomas were granted bail on the condition that their passports remain surrendered with the police. They will all next appear at Swansea Crown Court on October 21.
