Time is running out to enter letsrecycle.com’s ‘Summer Recycling Selfie’ competition – sponsored by DHL Envirosolutions – with a flurry of entries coming in during the last fortnight.
Response to the competition so far has been overwhelming, with entries coming in from a host of locations close to home, Devon, South Wales and the Scottish Highlands, as well as some more exotic destinations including Sao Paolo, New Zealand and Rome. All of our entries have demonstrated that recycling is a truly global endeavour.
The competition is set to close on August 31, but any entries from bank holiday breaks will still be counted if they arrive before 5pm on Tuesday September 1.
You can see a selection of some of the pictures sent in so far in the gallery below, as well as another gallery from our first batch of entries earlier in the month and in July can be viewed here.
The best entry we receive – the 2015 Summer Recycling Selfie Champion – will take home an Apple iPad courtesy of logistics and recycling services provider DHL Envirosolutions.
So, to be in with a chance of winning, email us up to three photos of you or a family member with some bins, by a recycling vehicle, at on overseas CA site or in another recycling/waste scene – but of course, health and safety considerations are paramount in the waste industry so as ever no risks should be taken when taking a photo.
Please send your entries to news@letsrecycle.com with “Summer Selfie” in the title and include the photo location and your contact details in the email.
Rules
The rules of the competition are simple. 1. The photograph must be taken on a holiday and include the entrant or a family member with a recycling or waste feature. It can be as a selfie or a photo of you with the bins or trucks or other pose. 2. You can enter up to three pictures. 3. Pictures can be taken in the UK or overseas. 4. Photographs must be for holidays between July 21 – August 28 2015. 5. Photographs will be used on letsrecycle.com during the competition and in reports on it without payment of fees – copyright remains with the photographer. 6. When taking pictures, please be aware of health and safety considerations. 7. Letsrecycle and DHL Envirosolutions staff can enter, but not win. 8. The judges’ decisions are final.
