FCC offers bursary programme for Letsrecycle Live

11th & 12th July 2018, Environment Media Group, Stoneleigh Park

Waste management and recycling firm, FCC Environment has confirmed that it will be working with letsrecycle.com’s new show, Letsrecycle Live, through the provision of a bursary programme for a number of local authority recycling officers.

The company is a member of the Environmental Services Association which represents the UK’s waste management industry and besides FCC, several other ESA members are supporting the show which takes place on 22-23 May 2019 at Stoneleigh, near Coventry.

Bursary

FCC’s bursary programme is open to those working in a local authority who have an operational, technical or administrative background covering waste and recycling issues.

Successful applicants will receive one night’s accommodation at the Stoneleigh venue’s onsite hotel as well as travel expenses to and from the event.

A spokesperson for Letsrecycle Live explained: “We are proud to be working with FCC Environment to launch a bursary programme which will be available to individuals who work within a local authority.

“It has been implemented to remove the financial barrier that some local authorities may have faced to discovering what the show has to offer and to learn about both the latest policy and technological developments.”

FCC Environment is offering a number of bursaries to local authority officers for the Letsrecycle Live event in May

FCC employs around 2,200 staff in the UK and operates a number of waste management premises including material recovery facilities, landfill sites and energy-from-waste (EfW) facilities.

Those who are granted a bursary will also acquire access to a dedicated theatre, which will provide two-days of content on valuable topics impacting the sector, as well as a number of networking and partnership opportunities during the event.

Local authority officers who wish to propose their candidacy to further their knowledge can do so by contacting Letsrecyle Live’s show organiser Daniella Jarvie-Thomas on 020 7633 4524 or e-mail daniella.t@environmentmedia.co.uk.

ESA

The show is delighted to have two other ESA members, namely, Biffa and Suez, joining as  proud sponsors for the first edition of Letsrecycle Live.

Jacob Hayler, ESA Executive Director, commented: “ESA is supporting Letsrecycle Live because we think it will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to see plant and equipment being put through their paces in the live demonstrations.

“The seminar, workshop and networking sessions will also enable visitors to get up to speed on the latest industry developments and policy discussions from experts and thought leaders in the world of waste and resources. The emphasis on creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere to do business makes a refreshing change and is to be applauded.”
