Entsorga trade fair reveals plans for October

Organisers of international trade fair for waste management and environmental technology, Entsorga-Enteco, yesterday revealed plans for their exhibition in October.

The fair takes place every three years, but this year the Entsorga name becomes Entsorga-Enteco (environmental technology) marking the expansion in the exhibition's focus from solely waste management.

To accommodate these changes, Koelnmesse, who organise the exhibition, have built four new state of the art halls with high ceilings ranging from 11m to 15 metres high.

These new buildings have been purpose built with no pillars to allow companies to exhibit large machines which the previous layout restricted.

Koelnmesse expect 900 exhibitors from over 25 countries and around 50,000 visitors. Groups have already been confirmed from China and Thailand. The Birmingham Chamber Overseas Division will be organising a British pavilion at ENTSORGA-ENTECO with the additional benefit of a UKTI (UK Trade and Investment) grant.

This year the eight product areas will be:

  • Waste Management and Recycling;
  • Local Authority and Environmental Services;
  • Incineration and Renewable Energy;
  • Technology & Logistics;
  • Water and Liquid Waste;
  • Air Quality Control and Emissions Protection;
  • Health and Safety and Noise Protection
  • Research and Organisation
  • Each day of the conference will be themed to make the conference easier for visitors from abroad. Day two of the conference is solely dedicated to waste management.

    There is the option of a guided tour every day and there will be a range of seminars which will be translated into English.

    The conference will be held between Tuesday 24-Friday 27 October in Cologne and the company has dedicated part of its website to help people to find accommodation.
