Winners will be announced at the organisation’s annual Awards Dinner on the evening of October 14 during the annual two day LARAC conference in Nottingham.

Communications, new ideas, waste minimisation, and team and individual success are all recognised within the awards and rewarded on the night. The awards are dedicated solely to the LARAC community.

LARAC chair, Andrew Bird, said he was looking forward to seeing the range of ideas and successes submitted by members. “I know that budget pressures and restructures are continuing to affect us all and the importance of rewarding dedicated, hard-working and increasingly resourceful teams and individuals is more apparent than ever.”

Six categories

The six categories for the awards, which are free to enter, are:

– Best communications campaign of the year
– Best partnership award
– Best team of the year
– Best waste minimisation or prevention project
– Best new idea
– Larac Recycling Champion
The entry deadline for the Awards is August 21 2015 and the awards primarily cover the period from June 2014 to June 2015. Entries are submitted online.
