letsrecycle.com is seeking applications from councils, waste management companies and the third sector ahead of the annual awards ceremony, which will take place at the Landmark Hotel in London on 1 May 2012.
Now in their ninth year, the Awards are renowned for showcasing innovation, dedication and success in recycling and sustainable waste management.
Categories
Awards in 10 categories will be presented following a drinks reception and three-course luncheon. The awards categories are:
- High Street Recycling Champion, sponsored by Viridor
- Commercial Recycling Champion
- Waste Management Initiative in the Commercial and Public Sector, sponsored by Shanks
- Innovation in Design of a Waste Management Facility
- Collection Crew of the Year, sponsored by WRG
- The Best Community Recycling Initiative
- Civic Amenity Site of the Year, sponsored by REPIC
- The Best Local Authority Recycling Initiative, sponsored by Palm Recycling
- Local Authority Recycling Champion
- Recycling Business of the Year, sponsored by M+W Group
It has never been simpler to submit your entry. Simply visit the Awards website, choose which categories you wish to enter and click on the submit an entry button and upload your entry. The deadline for entries is Midday, March 2 2012.

The 2011 Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management were hosted by Channel 4 News presenter and journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy. Over 300 members of the waste management and recycling sector attended last years event, which honoured a range of efforts from public, private and third sector initiatives to individual achievements and innovation in design of facilities.
