LARAC chair Joy Blizzard said: “After a tender process and review of proposals at the end of last year we have decided to work with letsrecycle.com once again.

“We were really pleased with their ideas on how to take the event forward and continue on the success that they built up at last year's event.”

LARAC's annual conference partner, UPM, has confirmed that it will renew its support for LARAC as the lead sponsor.

Craig Robinson, head of recovered paper sourcing, UK & Ireland at UPM, said: “UPM is delighted to once again be the event partner for the LARAC conference and awards in 2011.This is an exciting time for us especially as our new state of the art Materials Recovery Facility will offer an increased range of recycling solutions for local authorities.”

Other sponsors already confirmed include, Greede-co, Smurfit Kappa and Yell.

Price cut

In answer to the budget cuts which have affected local authorities this year, the fees to attend the conference have been dramatically reduced from £480 to £99 plus VAT for the two day conference and one night's accommodation. The Awards dinner will be free of charge for local authority conference delegates to attend as the costs will be met by sponsorship.

letsrecycle.com is pleased to announce that in shaping and delivering this year's event it will be working in partnership with Resource Media, which produces The Loop magazine for LARAC.
