Composting Protocol “too prescriptive”

The Quality Protocol for compost has been criticised as being designed more for the “bagged compost market than the agricultural market” as well as being “too prescriptive”, writes Emily Ross.

While there remains strong support for the Protocol a number of senior composters have expressed concerns about the rigidity of the document. The Composting Association has acknowledged some of the concerns and confirmed there will be a review.
