The award aims to recognise the commitment show by collection crews who frequently represent business and local authorities to their customers, ranging from households to blue-chip industry.
The crews could be providing waste or recycling services to the commercial and industrial sector or to households or public sector clients.
Past winners have included a recycling crew serving part of the Daventry area and a community group service in Doncaster.
Typically entrants have provided a service above and beyond the norm with factors such as reliability, enthusiasm and efficiency all taken into account by the judges.
Nominations need to include a 500 word summary plus supporting information such as testimonials and additional written or photographic material.
Other categories for the Awards also remain open until September 4 and entries are being invited for all of these. And, if you know a colleague in the commercial or local authority sector who you feel should be nominated, simply send an email with a brief summary of why to vicki.m@letsrecycle.com or call 020 7633 4500 for further information.
