DangerPoint aims to educate visitors on safety lessons and life skills through experiential learning at its safety activity centre in Talacre, North Wales.
Funding from enfinium’s nearby Parc Adfer facility in Deeside has helped relaunch “Sustainable Futures”, also known as “Dyfodol Cynaliadwy”.
The design of the interactive educational exhibit was said to be inspired by the DangerPoint team’s visit to enfinium Philanthropic Community Fund own educational visitor centre, which aims to promote an understanding of the waste hierarchy.
The £6,000 exhibit funding has been awarded as part of a £30,000 enfinium Philanthropic Community Fund for organisations and community groups in England and Wales.
‘Fun and engaging’
Julie Ann Tyler, centre manager, DangerPoint, said: “We are very excited that we could update and improve our Sustainable Futures exhibit thanks to enfinium’s funding. The new displays provide a fun and engaging educational experience for visitors to learn about the importance of sustainable living and the role they can play in building a sustainable future. We are thrilled to have such an exciting addition to our visitor centre for the local community to enjoy.”

Applications to enfinium’s Philanthropic Community Fund are welcomed from registered charities, schools, places of learning, not-for-profit companies, community organisations and groups. Terms and conditions as well as an application form can be found here.
