Suspected terror attacks in the Belgian capital this morning (March 22), which saw two explosions kill and injure a number of people at the city’s Zaventem airport, have necessitated the cancellation of the event for safety and security reasons.
Steve Crowhurst, managing director of Crain Communications UK, the organising company, based in Croydon, Surrey, said: “Due to the events that took place in Brussels this morning, the organisers of the PRSE show have had no other option but to cancel the show.”
Mr Crowhurst added: “The safety and security of our exhibitors, visitors, staff and suppliers remains our absolute priority. The situation in Brussels remains fluid and we will provide further updates as and when.”

Postponed
The event, due to start today at the Brussels Expo Conference Centre, was originally due to be held in the city in November 2015 but was then cancelled and postponed to March 2016 because of a high level of terrorism alert.
Speakers at the PRSE conference were to include Stuart Foster, chief executive of Recoup; Roger Baynahm of the British Plastics Federation; and Dominic Hogg, chairman of Eunomia.
