Broxbourne signs five-year contract with Fiveways

Broxbourne council has signed a new contract with Fiveways Group, a provider of municipal and commercial vehicle hire solutions, expanding on their previous 2017 contract.

The renewed partnership commences in November 2024 and will span the next five years, with an option to extend an additional two years.

The contract will see Fiveways supply Broxbourne council with 10 refuse collection vehicles, including Dennis Eagle models, fitted with Terberg split lifts and trade lifts.

Fiveways is also exploring the integration of the latest General Safety Regulations (GSR) equipment and its proprietary Digital Display Screens in these vehicles.

The vehicle company’s workshop facility in Basildon, Essex, will host and maintain the new fleet.

A spokesperson for Broxbourne council commented: “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Fiveways. Their tender offered excellent value without compromising the high quality of service we have come to expect. Fiveways has consistently demonstrated their ability to deliver reliable and efficient services, and we look forward to continuing this successful collaboration.”

Emma Cheesman, head of development at Fiveways, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract by Broxbourne council. This opportunity allows us to continue building upon our already excellent working relationship, ensuring that we deliver both value for money and service excellence.

“Our focus remains on providing best-in-class vehicles and maintenance services that meet the needs of Broxbourne Council and its residents. We are excited to introduce these new vehicles to their fleet and to equip them with the latest safety technologies.”
