BPI Recycled Products has an annual turnover of £75 million and recycles more than 60,000 tonnes plastic waste from industrial, commercial and agricultural sources each year into new refuse sacks and street furniture. The company is both a Valpak member and a reprocessor, and has doubled the tonnage of PRNs supplied to the compliance scheme over the past five years.
Valpak chief executive Steve Gough said: “Andrew has a wealth of experience within the recycling industry and we are delighted to welcome his expertise on Valpak’s business board.”
Mr Green has spent 17 years in the packaging industry, and eight with BPI Recycled Products. He is responsible for packaging waste compliance, reprocessor accreditation and government lobbying on packaging and recycling issues as a member of the BPI group management board. He is also a member of Valpak’s group board, which meets quarterly.
