Beauparc has strengthened its presence in central and northern England through the acquisition of Derbyshire-based skip hire company Peak Waste Recycling.

Derbyshire-based skip hire company Peak Waste becomes Beauparc's tenth UK business

Peak Waste describes itself as the largest privately-owned waste management company in Derbyshire. It operates a fleet of 32 vehicles with a team of 75 staff and provide waste services to customers throughout Derbyshire.

The company also owns a material recycling facility in Ashbourne, which has a permit to process 100,000 tonnes per annum as well as third party tipping and RDF preparation.

Richard Martin, director of Peak Waste commented: “This is an exciting time for Peak. Joining a group like Beauparc provides the business and its customers a solid platform for growth, sharing of innovation and opportunities to network with other businesses within the group.

“For our customers, it’s business as usual but we do look forward to being able to offer the benefits associated with being part of a much larger corporation.”

Portfolio

Beauparc entered the UK market in 2016 with the acquisition of the former New Earth Solutions business through its Panda business (see letsrecycle.com story) and subsequently acquired the Widnes waste management company, WSR Recycling Limited (see letsrecycle.com story), which operates in the Liverpool region.

Peak Waste becomes the tenth business within Beauparc’s UK portfolio.

It will now sit alongside its Midlands-based company Mid UK, as well as other firms further north such as Merseyside-based B&M Waste, Leeds-based firms AWM and LSS and Scottish skip hire and waste management business, Scotwaste.

Brian McCabe, chief executive of Beauparc

Beauparc chief executive Brian McCabe added: “Beauparc is a recycling and processing led waste-to-resource business with a market leading position across Ireland, and a significant growing presence in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.”

He continued: “The portfolio of waste management services generates value from waste by processing materials from collectors, including its own residential and commercial collection business, towards circular economy initiatives and supplying waste to energy-from-waste facilities.

“The acquisition of Peak Waste further cements this infrastructure, and the business aligns closely with our growth strategy. We’re looking forward to working with Richard and his team to provide customers with continuing exceptional services”.
