This years Awards saw a record number of entries put forward for consideration, up 44% from 2013. Judges felt that many of the entries demonstrated the hard work currently taking place within the waste and recycling sector.
Launched in 2004, the Awards organised by letsrecycle.com reward innovation, dedication and success within the growing waste and recycling industries.
John Woodruff, chair of the National Association for Waste Disposal Officers (NAWDO) chaired the judging panel and commented: The judging panel was particularly struck by the quality of entries from across the sector, which show that many councils, companies and charities are still rising to the challenge of improving recycling in the UK.
Congratulations to those who have been nominated for the final, in what seemed to be an extremely competitive year for entries.
