Recolight appoints membership development manager

Mr Willis has worked in the UK lighting industry for the last 18 years. He joins Recolight from the UK component distributor Prime Light Electrical Ltd. Previously, Mr Willis spent 14 years as sales manager for control gear manufacturer Vossloh Schwabe.

Welcoming Mr Willis to the team, Recolights chief executive Nigel Harvey said: Adrians wealth of experience working in the lighting industry makes him a valuable addition to the Recolight team. Adrian will play an integral role in ensuring our existing members are kept abreast of developments in the industry, which will be especially important with the introduction of the updated WEEE Regulations. He will also help to build Recolights membership across all sectors of the lighting industry for the future.

General manager appointed at OSS Group

Nathan Ibbs has been appointed general manager for the OSS Groups Total Waste Management (TWM) division.

Previously a senior account manager with Biffa, he will be responsible for growing the additional services provided by the firm such as used tyre collection, interceptor and septic tank clearance, CCTV drainage inspection and repair, scrap metal dealing and dry waste solutions.

OSS Group collects recycles waste oil and other hazardous workshop wastes. The companys TWM division provides a range of associated services that covers most aspects of industrial site clearance and waste management as well as being able to deal with the collection and disposal of chemical waste and other out of the ordinary products.

ESE World appoints new managing director

Dave Hughes has been appointed managing director of ESE World Ltd, the UK division of European manufacturer of temporary waste storage systems ESE World BV.

Mr Hughes, formerly national commercial sales manager at SITA UK, succeeds Derek Monk, who steered the UK arm of the company through the transition from its sale by the Otto Group to become ESE World Ltd.

Mr Hughes was at SITA UK for 15 years and has 30 years in the waste management and recycling industry in senior sales and operational roles.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Hughes said: We are going to drive the ESE brand forward and Im looking forward to building on the excellent reputation the company has for temporary storage solutions, developing new products as demand in the market changes for more complex and bespoke requirements.

New sales director for Blue Spares

Machinery parts supplier Blue Spares has announced the appointment of Stuart Truckel as sales director with a brief to drive, expand and further develop sales both in Blues Spares and Wear & Spare Parts.

The Blue Group Spares Division comprises Blue Spares – which is the essential provider of genuine OEM parts for Powerscreen, Pegson, Doppstadt and Kiverco – whilst the Wear & Spare Parts business provides premium quality wear parts worldwide for all types of mobile crushing machinery.

Reporting to managing director Sean Warburton, Mr Truckel will be based at Blue Spares headquarters in Warrington, Cheshire. He joined from Linde Heavy Truck Division where he held the position of global aftermarket director. Prior to this, he spent 12 years operating with the capital equipment business representing brands such as CNH, JCB and Caterpillar.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Warburton said We are delighted to have Stuart joining us. He brings a wide knowledge and experience which will make a great contribution to our growth plans and inject new ideas into our national and international sales activities across all markets.

Managing director joins GD Environmental

Welsh waste management company GD Environmental has announced Matthew Roderick as its new managing director.

Mr Roderick has worked in the waste industry for 12 years. His appointment separates the managing director and executive chairman roles at GD Environmental, both of which were previously carried out by business founder James Norvill.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Roderick said: The management team and staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience which will enable me to further grow and expand the company in Wales and England over the next 12 months.

GD Environmental has recently invested over 1.5m into the development of a new waste transfer, recycling and water treatment facility in Newport. The facilities have been purpose built to sort, transfer and recycle in excess of 75,000 tonnes of waste per year.
