EMR executive Anton van Genuchten steps back from leadership role

EMR has announced that Anton van Genuchten stepped back from his executive leadership responsibilities on 31 May 2026, bringing to a close more than 13 years with the company and a career spanning over four decades in the metals, recycling and energy sectors.
Since joining EMR in 2013, van Genuchten has played a key role in the growth and development of the company’s Continental European business, helping to strengthen its position during a period of significant change for global recycling and circular material supply chains.
Chris Sheppard, Group CEO of EMR, said: “Anton has dedicated his career to this industry and has earned enormous respect across the international metals and recycling sector along the way.
“At EMR, he has played an important role in developing our Continental European operations and the partnerships that underpin our trading business across the region.

Alongside his executive career, van Genuchten has also held numerous board, joint venture and trade association roles across Europe.
Ed Fagan joins Grundon Board

Grundon has appointed Ed Fagan to its Board as Property and Infrastructure Director, with effect from 1 June.
Fagan steps up from his previous position as Head of Projects, Engineering and Design (PED), replacing former Estates Director Philip Atkinson, who has become UK Managing Director of Grundon sister company O.C.O Technology.
In his new role, Fagan will take responsibility for managing Grundon’s PED and Estates teams, as well as overseeing Grundon Sand and Gravel.
Grundon CEO Clayton Sullivan-Webb said: “Ed’s knowledge and experience make him the perfect candidate to join the Board and the new title of Property and Infrastructure Director reflects the depth of broad expertise he brings to this role.

AMCS appoints Eric Walsh as CEO

AMCS has appointed Eric S. Walsh as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding co-founder Jimmy Martin, who will transition to the company’s Board of Directors.
Walsh joins the AI-powered sustainability and resource management software provider as it enters its next phase of growth, with plans to deepen support for existing customers while expanding its presence across North America and Europe.
He joins from MRI Software, where he served as Managing Director of Americas, and brings more than 20 years of enterprise software leadership experience. Walsh has also held senior leadership roles at NCR and PowerSchool.

RECOUP appoints two new Board Advisors

RECOUP has announced the appointments of Professor Andrew Dove and Jon Brookes as new Advisors to the RECOUP Board, strengthening the organisation’s expertise across academia, innovation and industry.
Professor Andrew Dove is Professor of Sustainable Polymer Chemistry and Director of the Birmingham Plastics Network at the University of Birmingham.
According to the company, his appointment reflects RECOUP’s strong and growing relationships with academia, as cross-disciplinary research, innovation and systems thinking become increasingly important in advancing plastics circularity.
Jon Brookes, Chief Partnerships and Growth Officer at Ecosurety, joins the Board bringing experience in producer responsibility, policy development and partnership-building across the packaging and recycling sector.
His appointment also highlights the growing collaboration between RECOUP and Ecosurety.
