35-Under-35 Status Holders 2019 announced

This year’s rising stars of the waste and recycling industry have been shortlisted and announced within the 35-under-35 Awards.

The 35 listed for 2019 come from across the recycling and waste sector and have been named as “Status Holders of the 35-under-35 award”. This recognises young achievers and upcoming influencers who are striving for professional excellence, promoting industry innovation and giving back to his or her company or community.

The judges of the Awards were Steve Eminton, editor, letsrecycle.com; Lee Marshall, chief executive, LARAC; Lorraine Milburn, head of HR, Grundon; and Jakob Rindegren, recycling policy adviser at the  Environmental Services Association.

The awards are sponsored by Grundon and the company’s deputy managing director, Neil Grundon, said: “The Status Holders have shone through in their inspirational entries and congratulations to them on their success.”

Mr Grundon emphasised the importance of recognising “young talent” and said that there is not always enough recognition and enthusiasm for the work of those developing the careers which he hopes that the Awards will help to change.

The announcement of the top three winners – who have gone above and beyond for someone at such an early stage in their waste and recycling career – will be made at a dedicated networking event later in the year.
