North London Waste Authority – Waste Prevention Exchange
On Friday 28 February 2020, NLWA will run its flagship event, Waste Prevention Exchange, for the sixth year running.
Like last year, the event will be held at the Inmarsat Conference Centre and will consist of a morning session with presentations from a variety of speakers from business, academia and the waste industry, and an afternoon workshop, giving delegates the opportunity to put learning into practice. This year, the theme will be Embedding reuse and repair into everyday life with a focus on reuse and repair of items such as furniture and textiles.
The morning session will be chaired by Councillor Clyde Loakes, Chair of NLWA and Deputy Leader of London Borough of Waltham Forest who has invited speakers from across the UK and Europe to share their experiences and expertise.
The afternoon workshop will aim to put learning from the morning session into practice as well as giving delegates the opportunity to discuss key issues like the importance of reuse and repair within waste prevention and how to embed reuse and repair into council services in a cost effective manner.
Registration is now open and if you are interested in attending the conference please book your free place now by completing the form below. You can also click here to learn more out about last year’s event.
