A practical session for waste and recycling operators on what the new Digital Waste Tracking service means for your systems, and how to build on it.
Since 1 October 2026, permitted and licensed sites in England and Wales must report every load of controlled waste they receive within two working days. For most operators, that is the first step, not the finish line. Paper records still run alongside the digital service, data may sit in several systems, and the question soon shifts from how to report to what to do with all that information.
In this session, Martin Goodliffe, Solution Architect at AMCS, shares what he has learned from the technical work on integrating with DEFRA’s Digital Waste Tracking Service, and why accurate, consistent data matters for connected operations.
What you will learn:
- What the new requirement means for your site
- Where information can break down between producers, carriers, sites and regulators
- How connected systems help you avoid entering the same data more than once
- What better information about waste movements makes possible
- Practical steps you can take straight after the session
Who should attend: Operations, site and compliance managers at permitted waste and recycling sites.
