Dennis Eagle opens new Durham Service Centre
Dennis Eagle has opened a new Service Centre in Durham, aimed at strengthening its aftermarket support for waste operators across the Northeast of England.
The eight-bay facility, located on the Drum Industrial Estate in Chester-le-Street, can support the full range of refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and specialist equipment manufactured by Dennis Eagle and Terberg Matec UK.
Services include routine inspections, MOTs, preventative maintenance and LOLER inspections, as well as major repairs and vehicle refurbishment. The site also has a parts warehouse and counter service.
Dennis Eagle aftermarket director Geoff Rigg said: “Across the Northeast, the demand for Dennis Eagle RCVs is only increasing. Durham is the ideal, well-connected location from which our expert engineers can support our valued customers.”
The company said the centre will support independent operators and local authorities, including Durham County Council and Northumberland County Council.
The opening also marks the company’s longstanding connection with the area, with a 1975 Dennis D Series fire engine and 1989 Dennis Delta RCV displayed at the inauguration.
Flex IT and T1A combine to form €150m circular IT group
Flex IT and T1A Group have completed their combination, creating a European circular IT platform with revenue of approximately €150 million (£128.7 million).
The combined group brings together corporate IT collection, data erasure, refurbishment, remarketing and distribution.
T1A, founded in Denmark in 2001, collects and refurbishes corporate IT equipment, while Netherlands-based Flex IT distributes new and refurbished hardware through a network of around 13,000 resellers.
Both businesses hold R2v3 certification, with processing operations across Denmark, the Netherlands and Poland.
The companies said the combination will allow equipment collected from corporate clients to be refurbished and returned to the market within the same group, extending device lifetimes and reducing electronic waste.
The group is backed by the Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund as majority shareholder, with Dansk Vækstkapital as a minority investor.
Angelo Bul, CEO of the combined group, said the deal would allow the business to “take responsibility for the whole life of a client’s equipment”.
Kenny Waste Management renews Fleetwood Town partnership
Kenny Waste Management has renewed its partnership with Fleetwood Town Football Club for a second successive season.
The partnership will see Kenny Waste Management gain increased visibility across the club’s commercial and matchday platforms throughout the season.
