The family-owned waste management company, which is headquartered in Oxfordshire, has insisted its development plans in the UK have not been affected by referendum vote in favour of ‘Brexit’.

Mr Grundon has urged Britain to be bold and develop its own waste and recycling targets to deliver a “sustainable future” for all.
He said: “My view is that this is the best decision for the UK’s long-term interests and, as far as we are concerned, our investment plans haven’t changed. Our goal is to continue to look forward into new and emerging markets and to build the business where and when the opportunities arise.”
Hope
And, he added: “I have said before that belonging to one club should not preclude us from taking a seat at other tables, although we will no longer have a seat at the EU table that remains my view. I hope what we will do now is work together and take a measured and controlled view of what is best for business, the wider economy and best for the country.
“Within the waste management and recycling industry itself, this decision gives the longer term opportunity to set our own legislation targets and goals and we need to have the confidence to take the lead and develop our own solutions for a sustainable future.”
