Taylor adds OMB containers to portfolio

Droitwich-based container Egbert Taylor Group has been appointed as exclusive distributor of the Italian OMB container range within the UK.

OMB is part of the BUSI Group, an Italian producer of containers and waste vehicle equipment including single-body and classic tailgate rear loaders.

The involvement with OBM adds to a number of other deals that Taylors has made to supply equipment and services within the waste sector, under what the UK-company describes as “a continuation of Egbert Taylor Group’s ambitious expansion programme and its desire to provide an enhanced offering to its UK customer base”.

In the past some OMB equipment has been supplied by a company called OBM UK Ltd based in Shrewsbury, with councils using OMB bins including Brighton and Edinburgh.

Containers

Products manufactured by OMB include 1,800, 2,400 and 3,200 litre side loading containers, as well as side and rear loader compactors, which will now be available Taylor’s UK customer base and compliment its own product portfolio, as well as delivering synergies with products offered under the Sellers brand.

On the agreement with OMB, Taylors’ chief executive Brendan Murphy, said: “When it comes to the provision of waste containers and harnessing technology within the waste sector, we aim to become a single point of contact for all organisations. From private companies to local authorities, regardless of the size of the container and irrespective of the scope of their requirements, we want to provide a solution that effectively meets their needs.

Mr Murphy added: “Over the last five decades we have established a longstanding customer base for the containers we produce in-house. This collaboration enables us to offer a more comprehensive suite of products, all under the Egbert Taylor Group framework and underpinned by the service standards that our customers have come to expect from our brands.”

Refurbishment

Taylors highlighted the fact that refurbishment is part of its work at its large Worcestershire site and it will now be providing repair and refurbishment services for OMB equipment.

And, Valter Amadini, OMB manager at the BUSI Group, adds: “Extending the reach of our products whilst retaining our reputation for quality is a key priority. In Egbert Taylor Group we have found a partner whose reputation is synonymous with exemplary service and that has extensive reach through its enviable customer base. We’re confident that the agreement will be beneficial for both parties and we look forward to working together.”
