The three day event, hosted in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) for the third year running and supported by the Environmental Services Association (ESA), also aims to provide businesses and organisations with networking opportunities and a chance to improve recycling rates and resource efficiency.
Incorporating 150 speakers across five theatres and an estimated 15,000 visitors, the 2013 show will also include the WAMITAB Skills Village, a new programme which delivers free 20 minute briefings that aim to cut through industry jargon to address the issue at hand.

With so much to see and seminars from renowned speakers such as Lord Robert Winston, eco-adventurer Andy Pag and food waste campaigner Tristram Stuart, visitors are likely to need more than one day to make the most of Europes biggest annual resource efficiency and waste management show.
Solutions
Alongside the Leaders Arena, local authorities will also be catered for with a speakers to include Defras Dr Colin Church, journalist Lucy Siegle and LARAC chair Joy Blizzard. Topics will range from the delivery of waste services at a reduced cost, revenue from waste, handling bulky waste streams and how councils can encourage households to recycle.
One event highlight will be collection and recovery specialist WasteCares Silver London Lady Routemaster, a bus driven into the centre of the hall to promote the companys latest solutions, while visitors will have an opportunity of winning the vehicle for a promotional or staff day out.
Meanwhile, a host of designers, engineers and manufacturers will be displaying their latest products including specialist BHS, which supplies custom-built products to extract recyclables at high recovery rates, and end-user supplier Greenway, which intends to provide customers with a cost-effective and sustainable solution to their waste management needs.
It is a message to customers that Simon Scholes, business administration manager for Kent-based VEKA Recycling one of the sectors leading PVC-U recyclers wanted to reiterate ahead of the event. He said: Quality is paramount. While all end-of-life PVC-U can be recycled, we want to make a quality product from it, so the input material has to match.

Other exhibitors include Fercell, which will be showcasing its latest wood and plastic shredders, briquetters and briquetting equipment, Plastic Omnium Urban Systems whose offers extend to a washing and maintenance service for a range of two and four wheel bins, and weighbridge software provider Weightron, which will display its Industrial Waste Management system designed to provide legal-for-trade records.
Elsewhere, Tamar Energys executive team will also be on hand to explain the benefits of anaerobic digestion (AD). The firm has received some 97 million in funding from shareholders since forming in 2012, and hopes to have a UK-wide network of AD plants in operation by 2018.
Advanced Plasma Power will be featuring its latest thinking on transforming waste into energy and fuels.
And, for visitors looking to explore some of the more alternative events, the Catwalk will also return this year to showcase how a range of textiles and unwanted clothes can be turned into fashion accessories.
