Biowaste Treatment Contract

Expressions of Interest are sought from Contractors with the skill, experience and commitment to undertake the biological treatment of source segregated food waste and co-mingled food and garden waste (Biowaste) under a Contract including sustainable design, finance, construction, commissioning and operation of a facility. The Contract is anticipated to have a 25 year service period with scope for contract extensions. The exact Contract length will be determined through the procurement process.

The procurement exercise will be conducted using the Competitive Dialogue procedure and the Contract will be awarded on the basis of most economically advantageous tender. Full details of the evaluation methodology are set out in the Tender Documentation.

A Bidders Information Day will be held in Chelmsford on the afternoon of 5th July 2010.
