Paul Dumpleton joins CD Group
Mr Dumpleton who has more than two decades of experience in the waste and recycling sector joined SITA UK to become general recycling manager in 1998, before starting a five-year stint at Shanks in 2005 as director of materials management.
He is now at CD Group, which comprises materials recycling facility (MRF) equipment firm CD Engineering, as well as CD Environmental, which provides softer services such as materials marketing, MRF improvement programmes, materials pricing forecasting and interim facilities management.
Speaking to letsrecycle.com, Mr Dumpleton said: I enjoyed working at FCC I really enjoyed my time there but I wanted to do something that was much more focused on the recycling and technology side. This role is looking at more specifically at the recycling side, particularly on quality improving the quality of the product.
Commenting on his role in looking at TEEP legislation, Mr Dumpleton added: Ultimately, the quality issue will drive everything because the users are getting tighter and tighter on quality. So we will be seeking to help people to achieve better quality.
MBA Polymers selects second Board member
Plastics recycling firm MBA Polymers has selected Nick Deeming to be non-executive director, the second board appointment in less than a month at the company.

Mr Deeming, who has 30 years business and legal experience, was most recently a member of the Executive Management Board and General Counsel for Transocean Ltd in Geneva.
Commenting on the appointment, MBA Polymers chief executive Nigel Hunton, said Mr Deemings appointment would help deliver strong leadership and strengthen the Board.
He said: We are delighted that Nick has joined us at this time and is part of strengthening the Board as MBA moves to the next stage of its evolution.
MBA Polymers announced in January that it had received further funding from its investors.
The firm now aims to further commercialise its processes and products.
ENER-G expands teams
AD specialist ENERG-G Combined Power has expanded its biogas and CHP wastewater treatment teams with the appointment of biofuels experts Martin Wager and Laurence Stephenson.
Mr Wager joins ENER-G as business development manager for biofuels from Cogenco, and has been involved in over 40 CHP sewage treatment and biofuels generation projects over the past 12 years.
Mr Stephenson joins the firms biogas CHP team as sales engineer from sister company ENER-G Natural Power, which specialises in landfill gas generation.
ENER-G project manages and funds complete anaerobic digestion packages, or partners with AD specialists to provide digester gas generation technology and expertise for the back end of the process.
ESE World announces changes at top
Waste storage system manufacturer ESE World B.V. has appointed Bjrn Hedenstrm as chief executive officer, effective from September 2014.
Mr Hedenstrm, who joined ESE in 2001, currently serves as regional director for Northern Europe which diverse markets in Scandinavia, UK, Benelux, Poland and Lithuania.
He will succeed Ren Wolfkamp, who will rejoin the supervisory board as chairman a position he was originally appointed to in 2010 before becoming chief executive in 2011.
Jakob Foerschner from the ESE Supervisory Board, said: Ren has turned the challenges of the market into opportunities and reached the ambitious objectives together with his team.

MOBA appoints business development manager
Technology firm MOBA has announced that Stuart Sargeant will join the company in July in the role of business development manager of its waste and logistics division.

Mr Sargeant has over 20 years experience in fleet services and over 10 years senior sales expertise, having previously been regional business manager with Geesinknorba.
Ian Lewis, MOBA UKs general manager, said: Were delighted to bring someone of Stuarts calibre on board as it will now enable us to move to the next level of growth, given the increased demand we are experiencing for bin weighing and ID solutions from both waste contractors and councils.
