Eunomia names Mike Bell as new CEO

Eunomia has named Mike Bell as its new chief executive officer, bringing more than 20 years’ experience across business transformation, technology and sustainability.
Bell was most recently Chief Strategy & Digital Officer at Ricardo plc, where he repositioned the company towards leadership in environment and energy transition, launched digital platforms and drove acquisitions in environmental advisory and energy modelling.
His earlier career includes senior leadership roles at Jaguar Land Rover, Canonical, Laird and United Utilities.
Commenting on his appointment, Bell said: “I’m thrilled to join Eunomia’s talented team.
“Our clients face accelerating pressures – from circular economy regulation to nature and net zero commitments. My priority is to deepen our science-led advisory, scale digital and data capabilities, and partner with clients to turn ambition into measurable outcomes.”

Joanna Dixon appointed as Plan B’s Business Development Manager

Plan B has welcomed Joanna Dixon to its team as Business Development Manager.
In her new role, Dixon will focus on driving bids for managed services contracts and expanding the company’s presence across the sector.
Dixon brings public sector experience, having spent 13 years at a Local Authority where she gained first-hand insight into the challenges faced by councils.
More recently, she worked at Defra, where she helped establish the Scheme Administrator for pEPR and delivered projects shaping the future of packaging waste reforms.
Commenting on her appointment, Dixon said: “The agile approach demonstrated by Plan B means they are ideally placed to provide innovative solutions and make circular living more of a lived reality, and that’s something I really want to be a part of.”
Envirovue expands with new hires and office opening

Envirovue has strengthened its operations with a series of new appointments and the opening of a South Coast office.
The company has welcomed new team members across England and Wales, including in the North West, Cardiff and along the South Coast, enhancing its operational, client service and management functions.

BIR welcomes new Trade and Environment Officer in Brussels

The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has strengthened its Brussels secretariat with the appointment of Olatz Finez as Trade and Environment Policy Officer. She joined the advocacy team at the end of August.
Finez brings over six years of experience working closely with European institutions, specialising in policy analysis, legal research and strategic advocacy.
Her previous roles include work at the Delegation of the Basque Country to the EU, the European Ombudsman and the European Environmental Bureau, where she gained in-depth knowledge of the EU Green Deal, industrial pollution prevention and policies on critical raw materials.
Alev Somer, BIR Trade and Environment Director, said: “Olatz’s strong legal background and expertise in EU environmental law and international trade will be invaluable as she leads our work on ferrous, stainless, critical raw materials and shredders.
“We are delighted to welcome her to the team.”
