The company said that the PAS110 was achieved in “record time” from commissioning of the facilities. These sites complete Agrivert’s 5-strong network of facilities in the UK and increases the company’s food waste processing capacity up to 250,000 tonnes per annum. This is estimated to allow Agrivert to “consistently produce enough renewable electricity to power 25,000 local homes and businesses each year”.
Delighted

Alexander Maddan, Agrivert’s Chief Executive said “Agrivert is delighted to have been awarded PAS110 at our latest 2 AD plants. It is an important milestone and quality standard that gives confidence to all of our stakeholders that our procedures are robust, our digestate is of the highest quality and that Agrivert continue to maintain the best in class standards we have built over the years.”
PAS110 is the key industry quality standard backed by WRAP and the British Standards Institute and is achieved by demonstrating consistent quality in the Digestate produced by individual plants across a number of criteria.
Agrivert noted: “Stakeholders, including local authorities, are known to place a large emphasis on the importance of working with PAS110 accredited facilities in recognition that such accreditation proves the highest quality of Digestate, supporting security of the plant’s agricultural outlets. PAS110 also confirms that the Digestate has achieved End of Waste status, becoming a product rather than a waste and therefore can be counted as recycling.”
