The acquired business will be rebranded as IEG Preston.

The acquisition is the latest step in IEG EMEA’s strategy to strengthen its provision of new and refurbished compaction and baling equipment and expand its national presence.

David Hamer, Managing Director of IEG Preston, said: “Becoming part of IEG creates a fantastic opportunity for our businesses and, more importantly, for our customers.

“We now have access to a wider network, an expanded range of products and services, and the backing of a group that is firmly committed to innovation and customer service.

“This means we can support our clients with more tailored solutions, faster response times, and an even stronger service offering than ever before.”

IEG expands its UK footprint

The deal represents the latest stage in IEG’s expansion across the UK waste and recycling sector.

The Illinois-based group already operates through a portfolio of established brands and acquisitions, including IEG Oak Park (formerly Egbert Taylor), IEG Chesterfield (formerly Container Components Europe), IEG Winsford (formerly UK Container Maintenance) and IEG Barnsley (formerly Capital Compactors and Balers).

According to IEG, the company now boasts the largest specialist field service team and the largest rental fleet in the compactor and baler sector.

Pete Dickson, General Manager at IEG EMEA, commented: “IEG EMEA has continued its growth in the UK, with the acquisition of a suite of compactor and baler businesses from Brask & Cece.

“These businesses perfectly complement IEG’s existing products, services and market presence in the compactor and baler sector, effectively doubling its size.

“The combined business will be excellent news for both existing and prospective customers once we integrate fully.”
