The event will welcome over 500 visitors including more than 170 different local authorities, to provide a forum for waste and recycling officers to network and discuss pressing issues facing the sector.
Early bird tickets for the awards are now available here for a limited time only.
Following last year’s virtual event, this year will have a lineup of expert speakers, engaging panel discussions, practical workshops and more.
Key speakers will include Chris Preston from Defra, Barry Gardiner from the Environmental Audit Committee and William Maxwell from Lancashire county council.
Alongside the conference, the two-day event also includes LARAC’s annual celebration awards, which is a chance to recognise the achievements and hard work of local authority recycling officers and their colleagues over the past twelve months.
Larac chair Carole Taylor said: “After a successful two-day online event in 2020, LARAC is pleased to welcome you back in person for our 2021 UK LARAC Conference and Celebration Awards. Taking place at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham, the event will have all the usual conference sessions and workshops along with accommodation and evening events, all under one roof.”
