The awards ceremony, which is taking place after the organisation's annual conference, will see up to three companies in each category honoured as winner, highly commended or commended.
Founding WRAP director and waste and recycling expert, Ray Georgeson, is set to host the Awards.

Finalists for the Jim Ballance Composting Award – which focuses on firms which have significant achievements in the field of marketing compost as a product include:

• Keenan Recycling
The Local Authority Partnership Award, meanwhile, recognises the important relationships between council and organics recycling companies. Companies short-listed in this category are:
• J & F Powner Ltd & Hinckley & Botsworth borough council
