CRN viewpoint: Letter to the editor

Dear Steve Eminton,
I am writing to complain about the story on the Community Recycling Network's views regarding the Waste Minimisation and Recycling Fund (see: CRN ). It appears that the story was treated as an opportunity to criticise the
CRN. Both Surveyor and Materials Recycling Week used our comments without giving space to direct attacks on the CRN.

If organisations do disagree with our views then they are entitled to respond to the published article by writing a letter to the editor. A balanced
article would
include a variety of views on DEFRA's decision to re-allocate its
funding.

We have always had a great deal of respect for the good work done by the Community Recycling Network. This story accurately reflected the fact that the CRN is attacking the government over the allocation of funds, in a story which was prompted by a press release.
