From 17 to 18 September 2025 at the NEC, the two-day event will again combine a busy exhibition floor with outdoor machinery demonstrations and a programme of conference sessions.

More than 400 exhibitors will be on site, showcasing equipment, technologies and services from across the sector.

Speaker line-up

RWM Expo will feature a line-up of expert speakers, covering the challenges and opportunities for the waste and resources sector.

Highlights include a panel on the Circular Economy Taskforce, featuring Professor David Greenfield (CIWM & CEI), Stuart Hayward-Higham (Suez UK), Libby Peake (Green Alliance) and Jacob Hayler (ESA).

The Net Zero Summit Theatre, sponsored by Suez, will host a session chaired by Dr. Anna Willetts, to hear from senior executives including Dr. Jane Atkinson CBE (Enfinium), Neil Grundon (Grundon) and John Wilkinson (Suez UK) on addressing the strategic direction of the sector over the coming years.

Sessions will also explore the role of skills, design and policy.

The Future of Green Skills will bring together speakers such as Dr. Adam Read (Suez UK), Rachel Melvin (LARAC) and Shilpa Parmar (Veolia) to consider workforce needs, while Circular by Design will look at how regulation and innovation are reshaping product development.

What stakeholders should expect from the UK-wide deposit return scheme scheduled for 2027 will be covered by the Navigating the New Legislation session.

Exhibitor highlights

A wide range of technologies will be on show, from AI-powered sorting systems to collection optimisation tools and new recycling equipment.

Among the companies set to present are AMP, Sensorita, Steinert and Glasdon UK Limited.

Elsewhere, organisations such as RECOUP will use the platform to launch reports on sector challenges, while others including J&K Ross and AcSoft will highlight developments in safety and monitoring.

CARS and MRE

Running alongside RWM Expo, the Complete Auto Recycling Show (CARS) and the Metals Recycling Event (MRE) will also return to the NEC.

These shows bring together stakeholders from vehicle and metals recycling, with live depollution and dismantling demonstrations planned.

More than 40 companies are expected to exhibit at CARS, while MRE will feature organisations from across the metals recycling chain, including Automet Ltd, BMRA, Hensel Recycling and Lindemann.
