The acquisition, which took effect on 1 August 2025, includes around 585 skip containers, five skip vehicles and the transfer of several key members of staff.
Among those joining NWH is John Crawford, former owner of Henry Waste Management, who will support the transition in a consultancy role.
Crawford commented: “After many successful years running Henry Waste, I’m proud to see the business become part of a forward-thinking company like NWH.”
He will work alongside Craig Williams, Executive Director at NWH Group, to integrate customers and services and oversee continuity of operations.
Williams said: “We’re delighted to welcome John and the Henry Waste Management assets into our business.
“We’ve known John and his team for many years and have built a strong working relationship based on trust and shared values.”
An internal integration team has been appointed within NWH to coordinate changes to routing, scheduling and systems related to the newly acquired fleet and assets.
While the Coatbridge site previously operated by Henry Waste has been sold to a third party, NWH will continue to have access to a dedicated tipping bay at the location.
This deal came as part of NWH’s ambition to expand its operational footprint in central Scotland.
Williams added: “This acquisition not only expands our operational footprint in the region but also enhances our capacity to serve customers efficiently and reliably.”
