In a statement on LinkedIn, the company said: “We are proud to announce that Quatra has acquired Lifecycle Oils in the United Kingdom.

“We warmly welcome the Lifecycle Oils colleagues to the Quatra group!

“This step fits our long-term focus on growth, service quality and sustainable operations across borders. Exciting times ahead!”

Turning waste oil into biofuels

Lifecycle Oils is a UK-based collector and processor of used cooking oils and fats, operating a nationwide collection network.

The business collects waste cooking oil from across the UK through 12 dedicated depots.

The company turns waste cooking oil into biofuels and products, including its LF100 fuel, as well as specialist feedstocks for biodiesel, hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

Piet Van Pollaert, CEO of Quatra, commented on the acquisition: “The UK is an important market for us.

“This acquisition enables us to bring our advanced capabilities to a broader customer base.

“It marks an important milestone in our European growth strategy.”

Quatra based in Belgium

Quatra is headquartered in Belgium and operates across several European markets, collecting and processing used cooking oils and fats for reuse in renewable fuels and other applications.

The company said the deal reinforced its operational model in the UK by enabling more efficient, large-scale collection and sustainable processing, while improving customer proximity.

Van Pollaert added: “Our goal is simple. We want to build a strong, stable and future-proof Quatra in the UK, one that delivers top-quality service and contributes to a more circular economy.”
