Engineering services provider Ipsum Group has acquired liquid waste management company CountyClean Group.

Alongside expanding the Ipsum Group Water portfolio, the acquisition will bring new liquid management capabilities, as well as a Surrey-based waste treatment and recycling facility, to Ipsum’s customer base.

CountyClean customers will also gain access to Ipsum’s broader range of engineering, design and consultancy services across Power, Controls and Automation, and Water.

Ipsum said the transaction supported its strategy of delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions.

CountyClean Group was advised on the deal by FRP Corporate Finance.

Andrew Cowan, CEO at Ipsum Group, commented: “This partnership reinforces our commitment to developing resilient and future-ready infrastructure networks across the UK.

“Together, we’ll enhance our service capabilities, expand our operations in the South, and strengthen our ability to deliver true end-to-end solutions nationwide.”

CountyClean Group

Founded in May 2007, CountyClean Group is a provider of liquid waste management services across London and the South.

Mike Walker, Managing Director and Owner at CountyClean Group, said: “We are proud of CountyClean Group’s success over the last 19 years.

“This acquisition is a testament to that and the continuous drive and hard work of our people.”

The business delivers services to both household and commercial customers, dealing in the collection, treatment and disposal of a wide range of liquid waste streams, inceptor cleaning, sewage treatment and collection, and drain blockage clearance.

Its waste recycling and disposal facility near Lingfield, Surrey disposes of various non-hazardous waste streams such as road sweeper waste and gully waste.

The company employs more than 40 staff across three locations and operates a fleet of 23 commercial vehicles.

Debbie Walker, Director, Company Secretary and Owner at CountyClean Group, added: “This partnership brings together two businesses that share the same commitment to service excellence, innovation, and safety.

“By combining our expertise, we are not only strengthening our offering but also creating new opportunities for our teams and customers alike.”
