The facility will be capable of processing 35,000 tonnes of waste every year.
Enva said that it plans to share more details on the plan in the coming weeks.

“This development demonstrates Enva’s commitment to executing its long-term growth strategy and investing in the latest technology to safely and sustainably process end-of-life fridges while realising their commercial and environmental value.”
Fridges require specialist recycling due to the sensitive and potentially hazardous nature of their parts – particularly cooling elements or any display screens.
It recently built new fridge recycling plants in Perth, Scotland and Toomebridge, Northern Ireland. These sites joined its existing fridge recycling facilities in Grantham and Stourbridge in England.
Its Perth site was recently the location of a fire which the company said was most likely caused by a battery. No injuries were reported.
Enva operates across UK and Ireland and has an annual turnover of £384 million based on the 2024 financial year. It employs more than 1,700 people and services over 20,000 customers across 38 sites in total.
