Scotwaste has been in the business for over 20 years. During this time the company has provided waste services to businesses throughout the central belt of Scotland.

Following the acquisition, current managing director, Brian Ramsay will continue to run the day to day operations with the existing management team.

Commenting on the news, Mr Ramsey said: “We believe that a partnership with the Beauparc group will help Scotwaste continue to develop and grow and furthermore play a more significant role in the waste industry in Scotland”.

Beauparc entered the UK market in 2016 with the acquisition of the former New Earth Solutions business (see letsrecycle.com story) and subsequently acquired the Widnes waste management company, WSR Recycling Limited (see letsrecycle.com story), which operates in the Liverpool region.

Brian McCabe, managing director at Beauparc said: “We are delighted to acquire Scotwaste and it is our intention to build upon what is already in place and to develop this even further, all the while ensuring that we continue to maintain the quality of service that customers have been accustomed to. This acquisition forms part of our strategic growth plans for the UK”.

According to the company’s website, Scotwaste services customers in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Livingston and throughout central Scotland. It collects treats and recycles waste material for local and national customers in the domestic, industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.

Beauparc confirmed that following its acquisition, the company will continue to be known as Scotwaste, and services will continue as normal.
