Waste 2 Environmental Systems Limited

Waste2 Environmental Systems Ltd (Waste2ES) introduces a revolutionary different way to deal with waste food.  Whilst the technologies its systems use are well known and proven, it is the manner with which the customer benefits from their service that is the big differentiator.

Food waste has a value – an energy value – and yet food industry practitioners across the country are either paying to have their food waste taken away or sending it to landfill.  Waste2ES has developed their service around giving that value back to the business that has created the food waste.

In the most basic terms, Waste2ES’s systems enable the conversion of food waste using aerobic and anaerobic digestion technology on-site into an odour free, stable and valuable stored energy form.

Energy conversion from the food waste comes from the integral Biomass or CHP systems in the Waste2ES large system, the iD-R-5K, to turn the gas produced from the waste processing into hot water or electricity, cooling or heating as required.  These energy conversion systems are also available with the smaller award-winning iD-R-250 and iD-R-500 systems where sufficient waste food stock is available.  This energy can then be used by the business to reduce their costs further or can even be sold back to the grid.

This on-site processing  removes the need for food waste removal and lowers power bills as the food waste is converted on site to power.  Plus, there are huge benefits to the environment as this methane-producing food waste no longer ends up in landfill.

Packaged food items are no problem with Waste2ES’s systems; with the addition of the Flexidry depackaging system, the packaging is carefully removed from the organic food waste enabling both streams to move to recycling.

The savings potential for businesses is huge; for example, a typical grocery multiple could see bottom line savings of £200,000 and an 800-inmate prison could see savings of £20,000 simply by offsetting their waste removal costs.

As UK and Ireland distributors of Simpro Handling Equipment Ltd, we supply a range of high spec bin-lifting equipment and accessories for use with the Waste2ES range of systems and other wheelie-bin lifting requirements.
