New RWM organiser, the PRYSM Group, has announced that nearly half of those registered to attend this year’s event will be doing so for the first time.
The event, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on 12th/13th September, has seen 46% of pre-registrations coming from brand new attendees.
Hassan Allan, group marketing director of RWM, explained that the new registrations are as a result of feedback from exhibitors.
“We are delighted with the new audiences we are reaching out to with the brand, not only are they good quality attendees, but there’s lots of them,” he explained.
Mr Allen added: “One of the first things exhibitors said to us was that they were looking for fresh visitors so we are delighted to have made serious progression in such a short space of time. That’s before we even take into consideration the combined 8,000 additional visitors to our co-located Contamination Expo, Flood Expo, Future Resource and M&CCE and a third of them have never attended RWM either.”
The organisers of RWM also said it was “significantly over” its target for the event.
RWM, which is being run in partnership with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) opens at 10.00 on 12 September (Wednesday) with 16 seminar stages compared with six in 2017, and a speaker line-up which opens with the ‘Leaders of the Waste World’ panel in the keynote hall.
RWM visitors will also have full access to the other co-located events and a further 300 seminars.

Nick Woore, managing director of RWM added: “We have spoken to hundreds of regular RWM visitors and the excitement about this show is overwhelming. We released the digital show guide and our website received over 20,000 hits within 24 hours. I can’t wait for the doors to open and to welcome them to the show.”
