OPINION: Next month we’re tackling one of the industry’s most pressing challenges in our first Virtual Waste Summit with leading industry magazine Letsrecycle.
On Thursday 16 October 2025 we will address how to recover value from waste that cannot be recycled and offer insight into the latest innovations, and proven approaches to reducing the nation’s reliance on landfill and cutting emissions.
Attendees will hear about the current state of the UK waste sector from our keynote speaker Charlotte Rule, Head of Climate and Energy Policy at the Environmental Services Association (ESA). We’ll also host a panel discussion focused on new and emerging waste treatment techniques chaired by our Chief of Strategic Development Stephen Wise and with input from guest Peter Vinall of Sustane Technologies.
With so much change impacting the waste sector, the webinar will also share practical solutions for sector-specific challenges, including organic fines, offensive washroom waste, mixed residual waste and anaerobic digestion. Chris Wilson from Mura Technology will share his expertise during these discussions.
Loira Browning, marketing manager at Advetec said “The waste sector is experiencing seismic change, with new policies, rising costs and mounting environmental pressures driving the need for smarter solutions.
“This event will go beyond the headlines to provide waste handlers with strategic insights and practical approaches so they can adapt, innovate and unlock value from traditionally hard to handle waste streams like offensive washroom waste and organic fines.
“Partnering with Letsrecycle allows us to reach the widest audience possible, bringing together industry leaders to shape the conversation and discuss how we can reduce the use of landfill, cut emissions and build a more resilient waste future.”
