An exciting opportunity has arisen to assist in the development and delivery of a range of projects to increase recycling performance and waste minimisation for both households and businesses.
The post-holder will help shape and deliver a range of recycling initiatives, react to
emerging legislative changes, contribute to and deliver communication activities, and analyse performance data in order to prioritise and target specific areas and measure the effectiveness of initiatives delivered.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised person who can
lead the way in managing projects to a high standard. Candidates must be passionate about recycling and have experience in working within the waste management sector whether within a local authority or commercial setting.
This is a varied and visible role and involves contact with a range of people, from residents, collection crews, businesses and councillors. The postholder will spend time off-site attending external meetings, giving presentations and meeting with residents and businesses.
The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible and adapt to business needs, and be able to react to developments at a local and national level.
A full current driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is essential. Chichester District Council offers flexible working patterns including the option of a 9 day fortnight.
