About the role

The East London Waste Authority (ELWA) has created a new post to lead on the management and development of waste services for East London and to give strategic and operational assistance to the Managing Director in a number of other areas, deputising when required whilst we’re starting to approach the end of our PFI contract (2002-2027) serving over 1 million residents. In addition to this, you will also manage the office environment and key support services for the organisation.

About You

We are looking for someone with substantial knowledge and experience of wastes management, with a flair for creativity and skills to improve services, an effective team-player with a track record of delivering change in an inter-connected environment.

About Us

ELWA is a small organisation with substantial responsibilities, which requires significant inter-disciplinary working. As a statutory joint waste disposal authority, ELWA always operates in a multi-stakeholder environment.

We offer a competitive pay package, a positive culture, investment in your learning and development as well as a commitment to your wellbeing.
