The bulk of our business is commodity trading, connecting businesses that have recyclable plastic for sale to those that need the material to manufacture their products.

Now ecosky is looking for a purchasing and commodity trading role with Internal and external Collaborating capability.


You will have deep knowledge of recycling market, focusing on building double win relationships with potential suppliers, controlling quality by visiting and inspecting materials.

Plus communicating with our colleagues on daily base in the deal-making process, so you’ll need to be flexible, reliable, and collaborative.

In addition manage the desire to get deals done with the need to proactively manage risk and quality.

Recyclate Trader – Job Duties:

• Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel, evaluate customers recyclate materials, photograph materials; obtain samples as required, analyse the potential opportunities.

• Initiates trading process by building relationships; qualifying potential customers; scheduling appointments and site visits. Site visits including Sampling and Inspection to different material compliance with EA’s requirement.

• Develops trading opportunities by making initial presentation; explaining Ecosky service and operational capabilities, offers recyclate for trade pricing to appropriate reprocessing partners.

• Closes trade by agreeing rebate value, preparing contracts and liaising with Ecosky operations department on suitable transportation route.

• Negotiate recyclate material claims

• Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current recyclate availability, monitoring of competitors; analysing and relaying customer feedback and reactions.

• Updates job knowledge and skills by participating in training opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal and professional networks; participating in professional organisations and relevant trade shows and forums.

• Enhances department and organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments and Ecosky service offering.
