We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a prestigious London authority. In this newly created role, you will help shape and implement the procurement plan that will deliver the required outcomes for the authority and its partners.
You will project manage the procurement of new services, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and advisers to keep all steps of the procurement on track effectively, drawing on your own experience of developing businesses cases and implementing complex procurement procedures. You will ensure that value for money; quality services; reduced environmental impacts; and improved social value, underpin your approach to this major procurement project.
About you
To deliver this role successfully, you will have extensive knowledge and experience of both theoretical and operational procurement within a large, complex, organisation or landscape.
Whilst an in-depth knowledge of the waste and recycling market would be of benefit, experience in related fields will be considered.
We are happy to hear from consultants with extensive procurement support experience, local authority waste professionals with a procurement/contract management/strategy background or bid managers (in public sector bid teams) from contractors seeking a different challenge.
