Jack Allen Refuse Services bought by Dennis Eagle
2 January 2001
The acquisition, completed just before Christmas, is seen by Dennis Eagle as strengthening the company’s position in the UK where, says the company, it is the market leader in the refuse vehicle industry.
Under Bridgepoint Capital (formerly NatWest Equity Partners), Dennis Eagle had restructured the business. This saw the appointment of new management and the company focusing on its after sales service to complement its product range and to provide a “more consistent and predictable level of performance”.
Dennis Eagle says that the purchase of Jack Allen will now provide the opportunity to reinforce this restructuring and bring together key strengths in terms of product range, product quality, service response and parts supply.
Dennis Eagle has agreed with Jack Allen Refuse Services to run joint operations for the foreseeable future from Jack Allen Refuse Services’ sites at Aldridge, West Midlands and to take over the opeartion at Mitcham, Surrey for the foreseeable future. This will bring the total number of service centres in the Dennis Eagle network to nine.
Norman Thoday, director of sales and marketing at Dennis Eagle, said: “Dennis Eagle recognise the importance of choice, value, the emphasis of high standards in terms of services and product quality and the expectations of our customers in these areas.
“Rest assured that existing Jack Allen and Dennis Eagle customers will notice a seamless integration in all of these aspects. The only changes will be progression in terms of product range extension and enhanced service levels.”
