Once again, we are delighted to offer visitors to Letsrecycle.com Live FREE entrance to our live seminars where you will see some great debate and lively discussion on the latest industry developments. The overriding theme for this year’s live seminar programme is recycling and waste management with three additional communities. Each community will have specific subject areas covered through the seminar and demonstration programme.

Outdoor Arena

An outdoor presentation on health and safety matters with regard to vehicles. This event will include practical demonstrations, expert HSE and industry guidance, plus the opportunity to ask for advice and questions.

10.30am     MBT – reality or smokescreen? This seminar will look at the role that mechanical biological treatment processes can play in increasing recycling and diverting waste from landfill.

10.30am     Sustainable landfill – methods and regulation. This seminar will look at the latest developments in permitting and regulations including OPRA and how the industry is developing landfill gas as a resource.

2.30pm     Battery recycling. A new EU directive will impose recycling targets and the UK has played a major role in helping to shape the way this is imposed. Experts will talk about the likely targets and how battery recycling may be funded and delivered.

10.30am–12.30pm     Using PRNs. A morning conference looking at how income from packaging waste recovery notes is used, and whether in the future more material can be collected from the household waste stream with funding support from PRN revenues.

10.30am     Composting standards and outlets. A look at the importance of standards and how well they are recognised by government and regulators. Plus, the seminar will consider the importance of outlets for compost.

2.30pm     Enforcing recycling by residents. Requiring residents to recycle is the new strategy for many local authorities. How can this be enforced and what quality issues arise alongside higher recycling rates, are topics for this seminar.
