We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Public Sector Business Development team located at Kings Cross in London and contribute to Veolia’s drive for a substantial share of the UK market for public sector waste management and environmental services contracts.

What you’ll do
You will project manage the tender process from PQQ to final submission, often working on multiple projects simultaneously and understand the client’s needs and requirements, together with the key strategic deliverables and any considerations for Veolia in the development of the bid. Working with the Bid Manager, you will develop the solution, including input into the technical, legal and financial aspects.

In addition, you will work in collaboration with regional and support function business divisions to ensure buy-in and develop robust proposals. You will research and write method statements for tender submissions, proof read and review proposals prepared by other departments, manage the preparation of presentations and attend all client meetings. You will also have involvement in stakeholder engagement and planning consultations, ensuring the good standing of the company externally. You will be responsible for managing the liaison with Local Authorities, including overseeing the clarification process.

You will be responsible for producing a high standard of work in terms of accuracy and consistency at all times, ensuring the tender meets the client’s expectations and is submitted on time.

Project management experience is essential to be successful in this position, together with past experience of tendering, ideally with Local Authority experience/understanding.
This role requires an extremely well-organised individual with a very high standard of written English and excellent IT ability, with advanced level Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint skills.

You will require the ability to work under pressure, be flexible in terms of working hours and ideally have a background or an interest in waste management and environmental services, with enthusiasm for building up your knowledge on the subject.
